BizLink presents innovative hybrid motor cable with PLTC-ER approval

Compact design, maximum reliability, and simplified installation thanks to open laying without protective pipes

Friesoythe, November 10,  2025 - BizLink, a leading global provider of connection solutions, presents its latest development in drive technology: an innovative hybrid motor cable with PLTC-ER (Power Limited Tray Cable – Exposed Run) approval. This high-performance cable combines power, control, and data elements in a single cable and sets new standards in terms of installation safety, robustness, and efficiency in industrial environments..

In addition to its slim hybrid design, the new BizLink motor cable is particularly notable for its PLTC-ER approval. This certification, based on the US National Electrical Code (NEC, Article 725) and UL standards, allows the cable to be laid openly without additional protective conduits. This greatly simplifies installation and reduces material and labor costs. In order to obtain this demanding certification, the cable undergoes rigorous flame tests in accordance with UL 1685 FT4 and UL 1581 FT1, ensuring the highest safety standards. In addition, the cable meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2, underlining its global applicability

The new hybrid motor cable has been specially designed for continuous use in harsh industrial environments. Its design combines four power cores for power transmission, four shielded control cores, and an optional shielded coaxial element for data transmission. Each element is carefully shielded to ensure interference-free signal and data transmission. The highly flame-retardant PVC outer sheath provides reliable protection against environmental influences. Thanks to its flexible bending radius and an operating temperature range of -10°C to +90°C (static to -40°C), the cable proves itself even under extreme conditions.

The BizLink hybrid motor cable with PLTC-ER approval is the optimal solution for demanding projects in mechanical and plant engineering that require maximum reliability and compliance. For applications that require higher voltages and power ratings, BizLink also offers proven cables with TC-ER approval.
