But what does that mean for customers?
It means that by partnering with BizLink Robotic Solutions, you’re aligning with a supplier who is actively reducing emissions and enrolling in clean energy programs to meet international environmental standards and invest in future readiness. That can help your business meet its own sustainability KPIs.
It means reduced risk of quality issues, delays, or workplace incidents. That makes your supply chain more reliable while supporting your brand’s sustainability narrative — something your end customers, investors, and partners increasingly expect.
Our “commitment” to sustainability is expressed by actions as much as words, and the BizLink Robotic Solutions team is actively implementing sustainability measures in every part of its facility.
The moment employees or visitors pull into the parking lot, for example, they will now find three new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. If they’re driving an EV, they now have the option to recharge their vehicle and help the facility decrease its carbon footprint.
At the loading dock, BizLink Robotic Solutions has exchanged one of its two propane-powered forklifts for a new electric option, with plans to deploy a second electric forklift in the works. In addition to reducing emissions, the move to EVs in the warehouse operation is improving air quality within its facilities.
The Lake Orion facility is even enhancing the sustainability of its infrastructure by installing aerators in its water systems to reduce water usage, improve efficiency, and demonstrate responsible resource management. It has also enrolled in Michigan’s DTE CleanVision MIGreenPower initiative, a clean energy plan that helps program participants shift 100% of its electricity to renewable resources, further helping to achieve sustainability goals.
“These measures are just the beginning and part of BizLink’s larger corporate commitment to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions 50% by 2030 and to net zero by 2050,” said Gregory Larson, quality assurance manager for BizLink’s Industrial Solutions Business Group. “Our long-term goals are to convert all of our fleet vehicles to electric vehicles, add solar polar generation to the facility, and obtain ISO 14001 certification.”
ISO 14001 certification—the international standard for environmental management systems— would cement Robotic Solutions’ commitment to sustainability by demonstrating the business implemented an environmental management system (EMS) and is dedicated to continuous improvement in environmental performance. This includes identifying environmental aspects and impacts, establishing environmental objectives, and developing a process for monitoring and evaluating environmental performance.
The benefits of sustainability programs often go beyond environmental protection. They can also help the safety, stability, and profitability of BizLink Robotic Solutions’ operations and those of its customers. The company’s initial efforts have already shown a slight reduction in operating costs at the Lake Orion facility. With additional steps toward energy-efficient solutions, operating costs might benefit further.
