This 5-day core program is designed to prepare each student with the skills necessary to operate, program, and troubleshoot FANUC robot applications used by Navistar, including servo gun spot weld, rivet, and flow drill screw.

  • Explain weld cap wear and use the proper methods to work through it.
  • Interpret weld faults and determine the simplest recovery.
  • Explain and modify robot program instructions, parameters, and schedules associated with spot welding.
  • Touch up robot spot weld positions as needed.
  • Set up the servo gun and calibrate both motion and pressure for the gun.
  • Explain the rivet fastening process and identify successfully fastened rivets.
  • Identify poorly fastened rivets and explain their possible causes.
  • Interpret rivet faults and determine the simplest recovery.
  • Explain and use rivet-related robot program instructions, parameters, and schedules.
