Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • List and describe the hardware components required for an iRVision system.
  • Understand and explain common iRVision system types.
  • Access the iRVision Setup utility.
  • Set robot EtherNet/IP network settings for connecting a PC.
  • Setup a Windows computer (IP address, firewall, browser) to connect to the robot vision system.
  • Understand and set up a new iRVision camera.
  • Understand and modify an existing iRVision camera system.
  • Setup and perform vision system calibration.
  • Setup and teach 2D and 3D processes, including both single- and multi-view.
  • Understand and use vision command tools.
  • Understand and implement vision related programs and instructions.
  • Use common procedures and troubleshooting tools to correct malfunctioning vision systems.
