Sensor Cables for Real-time Remote Monitoring of Crop Plants

The challenge in this application consists of the sensor cable for monitoring the plant’s water supply having to be fitted directly to the leaves.

The cable is exposed to such outside influences as temperature fluctuation and various media. We have developed an especially lightweight, miniaturised, 1.4 mm thick and shielded sensor cable. It is particularly resistant to such media as fertilizers and to UV rays.
