Friesoythe, 8 November 2024 - BizLink, a leading provider of connectivity solutions worldwide, has a unique range of AS-Interface cables that meets both multifaceted industrial requirements and international standards. This comprehensive range of cables with a characteristic profile and various cross sections, materials and colours provides solutions for demanding applications in factory, process or building automation as well as shipbuilding. From 12 to 14 November, BizLink will be showcasing its AS-Interface variety at Nuremberg’s SPS trade fair in Hall 2, Stand 431 and Hall 7a, Stand 246.

BizLink’s unique AS-Interface portfolio comprises cables with 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² cross sections that are available in various jacket materials – including PVC, rubber and TPU. These materials were carefully chosen to ensure maximum service life and resilience in demanding industrial environments. From flexible applications to fixed installations, BizLink offers solutions that are tailored to the specific requirements of businesses in differing sectors.

BizLink designed some of the types in its AS-Interface range specifically for use in drag chains. Whether they are exposed to constant movement or must cope with high mechanical stress, these cables ensure high resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and other harmful environmental influences that are present in every-day industrial situations thanks to their robust construction.

Given their extensive certification, our AS-Interface cables are also ideally suited for international projects where high safety standards and country-specific requirements must be met. These major international certifications include VDE, UL and CSA, which confirm their conformity with electrical safety standards in Europe, the USA and Canada; CPR (Construction Products Regulations) approvals, which qualify our cables for use in buildings in accordance with the most stringent fire safety regulations; and shipbuilding approvals, which ensure that these cables withstand even the most challenging situations in shipbuilding and maritime environments.

Colour coding for specific applications

BizLink has coded its AS-Interface cables with various jacket colours so that they can be quickly identified and assigned to certain applications:

  • Data is communicated between all connected devices via the yellow cable. At the same time, 24V power supply is provided via this cable.
  • The black cable supplies 24V auxiliary power. It is used to supply higher loads, for example actuators or larger sensors that require an external power source.
  • If several AS-Interface circuits are used in machinery or equipment, the red cable helps to differentiate between these circuits. Particularly important or safety-critical signal circuits are often identified with the red cable.
  • The grey AS-Interface cable is specified for 48V. It serves reliable data communication and power supply across longer transmission paths and is used above all in conveyor equipment.

With this extensive range of AS-Interface cables, BizLink has positioned itself as an indispensable partner for businesses seeking high-quality, certified and flexible solutions for their industrial applications. From automated factories and state-of-the-art buildings through to the shipbuilding industry – BizLink offers the right solution for any project.
