¿Qué es la soldadura por puntos?

La soldadura por puntos es un proceso de soldadura por resistencia en el que dos o más chapas metálicas superpuestas se unen mediante presión y corriente eléctrica aplicadas a través de electrodos de cobre. La resistencia eléctrica genera calor en el punto de contacto y forma un punto de soldadura localizado.

Cuando se interrumpe la corriente y el material se enfría bajo presión, se crea una unión permanente.
